We have immediate openings for several people with proven successful business intelligence project expertise – BI Consultants and BI Architects

Position Profile:
With many of our large enterprise customers looking to improve their Enterprise reporting capabilities and/or embarking on a multi year Business Intelligence (BI) Program, we are looking for seasoned Business Intelligence (BI) Consultants and Architects who have extensive knowledge and experience in the strategy, design and development of large enterprise BI programs.
Key Activities include:
• Working with business teams to determine business intelligence/reporting requirements
• Supporting the design and generation of reports; data integrity and security; and data administration
• Identifying ways to prevent production support issues and improve the quality of the production BI/reporting platform
• Ensuring all projects and efforts are in alignment with the company’s business strategy
• Supporting existing BI/reporting platforms and applications to ensure operational availability and scalability
The required skills are listed below:
Specifications:
Senior BI Architects
- 5 – 10 years experience in the design / build of Enterprise Data Warehouses
- Knowledge and practical experience with Kimball and /or Inmon methodologies
- Have served as Team Lead / mentoring of Data Warehouse Development team
- Technical experience with Microsoft, Business Objects BI tools
- Working with senior business leads in matching business needs to data model/design
Senior BI Consultants
- Experience in developing/managing BI Programs / Roadmaps
- Experience in Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance best practices
- Technical knowledge of MDM, Data Governance, ETL tools
ETL / Data Migration Consultants
- Experience in the design and development of ETL solutions for large enterprise BI programs
- Experience with major ETL technologies and tools
Technical and business writing
Gap/fit analysis
Statistical analysis
Functional Specifications:
- Analytical, problem solving and critical thinking
- Work with the clients to determine the Opportunities for improvement
- Gather baseline and post live data and perform analysis and report on results
- Assess and document current state processes
- Work with the project team to ensure delivery to the required specifications
- Define and document future state processes
- Author test scenarios and scripts Facilitating diverse groups to a decision or consensus
- Networking and cultivating working relationships Effective Communicator (written and oral)
- Ability to relay or explain complex issues or deal with difficult situations
Operational Specifications:
- Knowledge of BI tools and templates
- Expertise in MS Office suite, including MS Excel and SharePoint
- Retail knowledge and experience an asset
Performance Specifications:
- Ability to execute on all deliverables
- Work independently with minimal direction
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables that have overlapping completion dates
- Lead and/or coach teams/team members
Other Specifications (Assets):
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Facilitation and coordination experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation
- The ability to inspire and build confidence in others
