Knowledgetech selected to upgrade and enhance Microsoft solution

KnowledgeTech has been supporting and enhancing the Forecasting Information System (FIS) for Terasen Gas since we originally built and implemented it in 2002. This critical application supports Terasen’s natural gas consumption and revenue forecasts. Developed using the latest Microsoft technology of its time, the system supports multiple forecast types and includes business intelligence analytics reporting.

Support for some of the underlying software is about to expire, therefore Terasen has awarded KnowledgeTech a project to upgrade the software to Windows 2008 and SQL Server 2008 using the latest version of Microsoft’s Visual Studio. In addition, the analytics and reporting functionality will be significantly enhanced using the latest business intelligence software from Microsoft.
